Our Story
An idea that was born during a nice evening at the favorite restaurant of the founders of Studio Bowie in Utrecht. 

Studio Bowie was founded in 2021. We spent quite some time thinking about what kind of name would fit the concept. We are two friends, who met each other four years ago during our student days. We are both still busy with our studies and we made Studio Bowie our hobby. The company was founded in a year in which a global pandemic was happening. Something that connects us in both good and bad times is music. We started looking for musical idols from the past that inspired us in terms of clothing style. During this search we quickly came across the legend: David Bowie. With Studio Bowie we hope to connect everyone with each other, like David Bowie could with his music.

The name Bowie also means: archer. Archers are usually adventurous, straightforward and optimistic. They are also very interested in nature and wish they could share this love with the people around them. The environment pays a high price for producing new clothing. For example, its production leads to CO2 emissions, plastics soup and pollution of soil and water. With our vintage blazer concept we want to make nature a little more beautiful.

Studio Bowie is timeless, fashion-conscious and high in quality. We choose all blazers ourselves, piece by piece, so we are sure that no quality is lost. The company was born out of love for vintage and only sells quality clothing that lasts.
